It was our first time entering the awards, and voters highlighted the level of service received as the primary reason for presenting us with the award.
In the dual-criteria system, judges said they were ‘very impressed’ with the testimonials and how we have embraced modern technology to enhance the business.
Winners were decided on a two-part arbitrating criteria consisting of a judging panel of industry professionals coupled with customer and supplier voting.
We were named winners at the fourth annual awards ceremony, held at the Lancaster London Hotel in the capital on Thursday.
Our Director, Paul Bradbury, commented: “I’m over the moon and never expected to the win. The team are amazing and we all put in 110% for our customers but to get national recognition is pretty overwhelming.”
We faced tough competition from other finalists across the UK including AW Electrical Supplies, Green Trader 24, JEGS and previous winners Amble Electrical Distributors.
Organised by the publisher of Electrical Wholesale Magazine, Data Business Media, the evening’s proceedings presented a total of fifteen awards to acknowledge the achievements of electrical wholesalers and manufacturers from across the country.
Mike Gammon from Electrical Wholesaler Magazine said: “This is the first year we have had a category for electrical wholesalers with a sole branch, congratulations to G2 Electrical for winning in what was a very tight category amongst some very strong competition from all the finalists.”
The team moved into a new state-of-the-art showroom last summer, which features a fully-functional lighting demonstration system, integrated with intelligent entertainment and security software. Complemented by an audio presentation, designed as an educational resource for customers, the showroom highlights the benefits of LED technology.
